Which banks and wallets can scan this QR code?

Any banking app that supports FPS QR payments — HSBC, Hang Seng, BOCHK, Standard Chartered and others. Some e-wallets also scan FPS QR codes, though a few only support their own codes; banking apps are the safe bet.

Are there fees for receiving money?

Person-to-person FPS transfers are generally free. Business accounts may differ — check with your bank.

Is this tool safe to use?

The QR code is generated locally in your browser. We never receive or store your number or any details. The code contains only the proxy ID, amount and reference you typed — the same as a QR generated inside your banking app.

Can I leave the amount empty?

Yes. Without an amount the payer types their own — good for variable amounts. With a fixed amount the payer just confirms, which suits priced goods.
